Agent Orange Day is August 10th. It marks the day in 1961 when the U.S. began aerial spraying of toxic
herbicides over Vietnam. This year, Agent Orange Day will take on a special significance as it marks the 50th anniversary of that fateful day.
In honor and support of people who have been affected by Agent Orange, we are launching a Facebook badge campaign calling on people across the world to post the Agent Orange Badge to their Facebook walls and change their profile pictures. Together we can send a powerful message: You are not alone.
Millions of people in Vietnam, the United States and other countries continue to suffer from the effects of Agent Orange. This is a chance for diverse communities – from American veterans, to young Vietnamese, to family members of those whose lives were lost – to come together in support of all those who continue to suffer from the effects of Agent Orange.

August 4, 2011 at 7:57 amThe US government knowlingly and deliberately poisoned its own army. Friends of the manufacturers legislated permanent restrictions for potential suits by those who contaracted agent orange diseases after a certain date. No consideration is being made by the US government to give formal military recognition for those who have suffered and/or died because of agent orange exposure in a war zone. Millions of people in Vietnam continue to suffer because of the use of agent orange. Wake Up America !

August 10, 2011 at 1:21 pmWe should always keep in mind That the use of AO was meant to denude the jungles and mangroves of the North Vietnamese soldiers (who supposedly were not in South Vietnam). When we came home and the goverments lies and cover-ups along with the denials by the chemical companies was unconscionable. Ourchildren must be taken care of for the illnesses they suffer due to our exposure. Vietnam Veterans should not have to plead for assistance from the Veterans Administration. We need to keep vigilant on all fronts for everyone suffering from AO related illnesses.
